Abstract:
A protection circuit for an interface with oscillation LC characteristic and a method thereof. The protection circuit includes a first overvoltage protection unit (1) connected in parallel with a capacitor (C2) on the interface circuit. The first overvoltage protection unit (1) releases the energy on the capacitor (C2) when the interference is generated by lightning surge, power line overlap and contact; the first overvoltage protection unit (1) includes one or more overvoltage protector (TSS). The protection circuit and the method thereof can quickly release the energy of the LC loop when the interference is generated by lightning surge, power line overlap and contact and the like, suppress or reduce the generation of the LC resonance energy, and solve the disadvantages of wide band signal attenuation and distortion when the junction capacitance of the protective device is large at the same time.
