Abstract:
A protection control device is used in a vehicle provided with a protection device, and is provided with an output value acquisition unit (F1), an object recognition unit (F2), a collision subject specifying unit (F31), a collision position acquisition unit (F32), and an action determining unit (F4). In the action determining unit: a specific default threshold is adopted as an action threshold when the collision position acquired by the collision position acquisition unit is not a low output area, which is a portion of the vehicle front end where there is a tendency for the output value of the collision sensor to be suppressed to a greater extent than in other portions; and a low output area threshold lower than the default threshold is adopted as the action threshold when the collision position is the low output area.
