Abstract:
The invention relates to a protection device for protecting sewer pipes against bite from rodents, such as rats or mouse, is mountable on the sewer pipe, where said sewer pipes having an inner surface and an outer surface, said protection device consists of a body of revolution, such as a cylinder, having an inner wall and an outer wall, where the outer wall of the body of revolution abutting the inner surface of the sewer pipe. The invention also relates to a use of the protection device.

Claims

1. Protection device against animal bite, said protection device is suitable to be mounted on an end edge of a sewer pipe, said sewer pipe has an inner surface and an outer surface, where the protection device consists of a body of revolution, said body of revolution has an inner wall and an outer wall, said body of revolution is in its end terminated by an edge abutting the end edge of the sewer pipe, characterized in, that the outer wall of the body of the revolution abutting the inner surface of the sewer pipe.

2. Protection device according to claim 1, characterized in that the body of revolution is a cylinder.

3. Protection device according to claim 1, characterized in that the body of revolution is conical.

4. Protection device according to claim 1 - 3, characterized in that the body of revolution has at least one slot, that runs from the end opposite the end with the edge and where the slot is terminated in a distance from the edge.

5. Protection device according to claim 1 - 4, characterized in that on the outer wall of the body of revolution is provided on or more

protuberances.

6. Protection device according to claim 1 - 5, characterized in that the body of revolution in the end opposite the and with the edge is terminated as a curvy piece that points inwards in relation to the axis of rotation of the body of revolution.

7. Protection device according to claim 1 - 6, characterized in that the protection device is made in a metal or a metal alloy.

8. Use of the protection device according to claim 1 - 7 in protecting sewer lines against rat or mouse bites.

Description:
Protection device against animal bite and use thereof.

The invention relates to a protection device against animal bite, said protection device is suitable to be mounted on an end edge of a sewer pipe, said sewer pipe has an inner surface and an outer surface, where the protection device consists of a body of revolution, said body of revolution has an inner wall and an outer wall, said body of revolution is in its end terminated by an edge abutting the end edge of the sewer pipe. The invention also relates to a use.

Such a protection device is revealed in WO 2014/063706 A1.

In praxis it has been recognized that it can be difficult to mount the protection device on the outer wall of a sewer line in particular when the dimensions of the protection unit do not fit exactly to the dimensions of the protection device. On this background it is a purpose with the invention to overcome this drawback. The purpose is realised through a protection device, as stated in the preamble of claim 1, that is characterized in that the outer wall of the body of the revolution abutting the inner surface of the sewer pipe.

It is expedient, as stated in claim 2, that the body of revolution is a cylinder, or, as stated in claim 3, that the body of revolution is conical.

In order to improve the grip of the protection device to the sewer line it is an advantage, if, as stated in claim 4, that the body of revolution is a cylinder, and/or, as stated in claim 5, that the body of revolution is conical.

For making it easy to fit the protection device to the sewer line, it is

advantageous, if, as stated in claim 6, that the body of revolution in the end opposite the and with the edge is terminated as a curvy piece that points inwards in relation to the axis of rotation of the body of revolution.

A further expedient embodiment of the invention is defined in claim 7. As mentioned the invention also relates to a use,

This use id s defined in claim 8. The invention will now be explained in connection with the drawing on which Fig. 1 shows a protection device according to the invention, whereas Fig. 2 shows the protection device on fig. 1 mounted on a sewer pipe.

On fig. 1 a protection device against animal's bites is denoted 1.

The protection device denoted 1, shown on the figures, is intended for preventing rodents, such as rats or mouse to bite in the free edge, f. ex. an edge 7, shown on fig. 2 on a sewer pipe.

The sewer pipe is shown bent, but it could also be a straight sewer pipe.

As it can be seen the protection device 1 consists of a body of revolution, here shown as a cylinder, having an outer wall 6 and an inner wall 5. The protection device has an upper edge 7. In the cylinder itself, a cut-out 8, here shown as a slot or a slit, said slot or slit runs from the end opposite the end with the edge 7, said slot or slit end in a distance from the edge 7. It is possible to provide more than one slot or slit on the cylinder.

Further it is possible on the outer wall 6 to provide anti-friction protuberances 9, 10.

The end opposite the edge 7, can also be terminated as a curvy piece.

Instead of being cylinder formed the body of revolution can be formed lighter conical.

As it can be seen on fig. 2, the sewer line has an outer surface 3 and an inner surface 4. On fig. 2 the protection device is mounted on a sewer pipe 2 such that it lies tight against the inner surface 4 of the sewer pipe. The edge 7 has the same dimensions as the edge on the sewer pipe, in terms of the area they cover. Even that the invention is explained in connection with a bend sewer pipe, the invention can also, as already mention, be used with straight sewer pipe.

It is also possible to use the invention with a composite sewer line that consist of two sewer lines having different diameters, where the sewer line has a transition part in form of an edge.
