Abstract:
A protection device for an electricity supply circuit comprising: a power supply switch (11) that switches between connection and disconnection of the electricity supply circuit; a control device (12) that outputs a switching command signal to the power supply switch (11) in accordance with an input signal; and a current detector (11) that detects current flowing to the electricity supply circuit. The control device (12) comprises: a timer (22) that measures the time that passes after a load (RL) has been turned off, when the load (RL) is turned off using the power supply switch (11); and a mode switching unit (23) that switches the control device (12) to a sleep mode when a prescribed time (Q1) is detected to have passed by the timer.
