Abstract:
Provided is a device that protects engine starting devices and that is provided with a plurality of starting devices that are a starter that can start an engine and a motor generator that similarly can start the engine, the engine being started by driving the motor generator in the case of a first condition and the engine being started by driving the starter in the case of a second condition that has fewer opportunities to be fulfilled than does the first condition. In the device that protects engine starting devices, the starter is regularly subjected to forced driving.
