Abstract:
This protection device comprises: a sensor for detecting state information indicating a state of a user, or a state of surroundings of the user; an attachment that is attached to the body of the user; an operation unit for changing a posture of the body by moving at least a part of the attachment; and a control unit for controlling the operation unit. The control unit executes: acquiring the state information from the sensor; determining whether or not a situation to be avoided has occurred; and, when it is determined that the situation to be avoided has occurred, moving at least a part of the attachment by driving the operation unit. Thus, the protection device can protect the body of the user from an unforeseen situation for the user.
