Abstract:
A protection device having an earthquake resistant body configured to counter strong earthquakes, the protection device being formed from: floor blocks for a first floor, which are provided with a legged box having a size that can accommodate the legs of a seated person of average height, and the strength to resist a large earthquake, even when accommodating heavy articles; a box base plate to which the box bottoms of the legged boxes are mounted, and which directly transfers almost all of the weight of the legged boxes to an underfloor foundation material; floor blocks for a second floor, which accommodate light articles in an extensive underfloor space; and a skeletal material, the underside of which is embedded in and fixed to the foundation material, and which couples the floor blocks for the first floor and the floor blocks for the second floor.
