Abstract:
The present invention provides a protection element formed by including: (i) a PTC element having an opening portion penetrating along the thickness direction; and (ii) a first electrode and a second electrode positioned on both principal surfaces of the PTC element. The protection element is characterized in that the first electrode is extended from an area on the principal surface of the PTC element over an edge of the principal surface toward the inside of the opening portion. According to the protection element of the present invention, the PTC element is not prevented from expanding even when fixed by a screw, caulking, or the like.
