Abstract:
A protection method and a protection device for metadata of a file are disclosed. The protection method comprises the steps of: preallocating a predetermined amount of initialized blocks for a journal file to a storage device; and journaling an updated metadata for the journal file to a storage device by calling a data synchronization function.
