Abstract:

The protection relay apparatus according to an embodiment has a first unit and a second unit. The first unit has a first power information input unit, a control unit, a first control information output unit, and a first communication unit. The second unit has a second power information input unit, a second control information output unit, and a second communication unit. First power information relating to power measured at a location corresponding to a first breaker included among a plurality of breakers is inputted into the first power information input unit. On the basis of the first power information inputted into the first power information input unit and the second power information received by the first communication unit, the control unit of the first unit generates first control information to be outputted to the first control information output unit and causes the first control information output unit to output the first control information, and generates second control information to be outputted to the second control information output unit and transmits the second control information to the second unit using the first communication unit.
