Abstract:
The present invention refers to a protection and startup modular combo for airtight refrigeration compressor (1), requiring a low number of tools to produce several combo configurations, compared with previous techniques, as well as the use of simpler tools and the consequent cost reduction for development of such configurations. That combo (1) comprises at least one motor startup device (2) and at least one motor overload protection device (3), the motor startup device (2) being associable, in the manner of fitting, with the overload protection device (3), the protection and startup combo (1) being associated with at least one electrical feed terminal of the airtight compressor, the combo (1) being associable, in the manner of fitting, with at least one platform of electrical connectors, the combo (1) being associable, in the manner of fitting, with at least one cable press device (30).

CLAIMS

1. Protection and startup modular combo for airtight refrigeration compressor (1 ) comprising at least one motor startup device (2) and at least one motor overload protection device (3), the motor startup device (2) being associated, in the manner of fitting, with the overload protection device (3), the protection and startup combo (1 ) being associable with at least one electrical feed terminal of the airtight compressor, characterized in that it is associable, in the manner of fitting, with at least one electrical connector platform, the combo (1 ) being associable, in the manner of fitting, with at least one cable press device (30).

2. Combo according to claim 1 , characterized in that it is associated with at least one platform of side electrical connectors (10).

3. Combo according to claim 1 , characterized in that it is associated with at least one platform of front electrical connectors (20). 4. Combo according to claim 1 , characterized in that it is associated, in the manner of fitting, with a support base (40).

5. Combo according to claim 4, characterized in that the support base (40) is associated with an airtight compressor housing.

6. Combo according to claim 4, characterized in that it is associated, in the manner of fitting, with a cover (50).

7. Combo according to claim 1 , characterized in that it is, in the manner of a slide, associable with side electrical connectors (10) or with platforms of frontal electrical connectors (20).

Description:
Title: "PROTECTION AND STARTUP MODULAR COMBO FOR AIRTIGHT REFRIGERATION COMPRESSOR ".

The present invention refers to a protection and startup modular combo for airtight refrigeration compressor, requiring a low number of tools to produce several combo configurations, compared with previous techniques, as well as the use of simpler tools and the consequent cost reduction for development of such configurations. Background of the invention Protection and startup combo is a product performing functions of startup relay and overload protection in sole assembly.

At present, combos are constructed in such a way that each function is an integral part of combo without being dissociated.

In this sense, each function is fused in the bodies constituting the combo. Thus, for different combo configurations, different modules are required. The current systems present the following disadvantages:

- High cost of tools for each type of configuration, as it requires specific tools (mainly injection molds) for each type configuration;

- The over-molding technique (molding of parts with the terminals) is not feasible due to the complexity of plastic injection molds.

Overmolding, in some cases, could bring cost reduction.

- Higher cost of component inventory due to the complexity of plastic components.

Thus, the present invention offers a groundbreaking solution for protection and startup combo for airtight compressor, compared with previous techniques, thereby providing a system which makes use of a simpler and cost-effective tool. Object of the Invention

This invention has for object to propose a protection and startup modular combo for airtight refrigeration compressor, requiring a low number of tools to produce several combo configurations compared with previous techniques, as well as the use of simpler tools and the consequent cost reduction for development of such configurations. Brief Description of the Invention

The objective of the present invention is reached through the provision of a protection and startup combo for airtight refrigeration compressor, comprising at least one motor overload protection device, the motor startup device being associated, in the manner of fitting, with the overload protection device, the protection and startup combo being associable with at least one airtight compressor electrical feed terminal, the combo being associable, in the manner of fitting, with at least one electrical connector platform, the combo being associable with at least one cable press device.

The present invention will be now described in more details in respect of the attached drawing, in which: Figure 1 - represents a perspective view of parts forming a first embodiment of the modular combo under the present invention;

Figure 2 - represents a perspective view of the modular combo, object of the present invention;

Figure 3 - represents a perspective view of a second embodiment of the modular combo under the present invention;

Figure 4 - represents a second perspective view of the second embodiment of the modular combo under the present invention;

Figure 5 - represents a perspective view of parts comprising the modular combo in its second embodiment under the present invention; and Figure 6 - represents a perspective view forming the modular combo under the present invention, in a third embodiment. Detailed Description of the Drawings

As previously mentioned, solutions of the previous techniques for airtight compressor protection and startup combo present today a series of disadvantages in respect of the required tools and high costs involved.

Figures 1 to 6 show possible embodiments for the modular combo herein proposed. The protection and startup combo for airtight compressor 1 , under the present invention comprises at least one motor startup device 2 and at least one motor overload protection device 3.

The motor startup device 2 (startup relay) is associated in the manner of fitting, with the overload protection device 3. The protection and startup combo 1 is associable with at least one electrical feed terminal of the airtight compressor, the same being associable in the manner of fitting, with at least one platform of electrical connectors.

Combo 1 is associable, in the manner of fitting, with at least one cable press device 30, as illustrated in detail in Figure 5. Combo 1 is associable with at least one platform of side electrical connectors 10.

Combo, according to the teachings of the present invention, is associable with at least one platform of frontal electrical connectors 20, the same being further associable, in the manner of fitting, with a support base 40. The support base 40 is associated with a housing of an airtight compressor.

The present combo 1 may further be associable, in the manner of fitting, with a cover 50, as illustrated in details in Figure 6.

Finally, from the present invention the combo can be formed through the combination of several modules, as illustrated below: a) basic protection and startup combo (several models of protection and startup can be used (4TM, 4MP, %"MP, etc.); b) platform of connectors with frontal access; c) platforms of connectors with side access; d) cable press; e) fence; and f) cover.

Moreover, the present combo offers as advantages, compared with the previous techniques, the following characteristics: a) lower number of tools to produce several combo configurations; b) simpler tools to produce more complex combos; c) simpler discrete components allow application of over-molding techniques to obtain cost reduction; d) enables a wide range of configurations at a lower cost; e) cost reduction of inventory due to a lower number of items and lower complexity of discrete items.

Finally, the combo, herein proposed, is, in the manner of a slide, associable with platforms of side electrical connectors 10 or platforms of frontal electrical connectors 20.

Some preferred embodiments having been described, it should be understood that the scope of the present invention embraces other possible variations, being limited only by the contents of the accompanying claims, which include the possible equivalents.
