The purpose of the present invention is to provide protective clothing that can, for the wearer of the protective clothing, exhibit sufficient cooling effects without detracting from workability and mobility, and that can significantly improve work efficiency. The present invention provides protective clothing that protects the wearer from the impacts of the external environment, and comprises a cooling device (110) for cooling suctioned air. The cooling device comprises a cooling unit (112) that cools suctioned air, and a blowing means (113). The cooling unit is covered by an insulating material (116) and is provided inside of the casing of the cooling device so as to be removable. The cooling unit has a hollow structure having openings in both ends thereof in the longitudinal direction, and the cooling unit comprises the following: a cooling fin (201) provided with a plurality of partitions that are alternately inclined along the short direction; a case (202) disposed so that the outer periphery of the cooling fin is covered; and a cooling agent (204) that is filled into the area between the cooling fin and the case, and that cools the air which passes through the cooling fin.
