Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a protective film to be applied to a probe of an embedded biosensor, said protective film preventing the leakage of an enzyme and a redox mediator to the outside without interrupting the penetration into a sample. More particularly, in the present disclosure, use is made of a film structure that is useful in a probe of a biosensor, said film structure comprising a sensing layer containing a sample-responsive enzyme and a protective film formed on the sensing layer, wherein the protective film comprises a crosslinking agent and poly(styrene-ran-4-vinylpyridine-ran-propylene glycol methacrylate) either alone or as a copolymer mixture containing poly(styrene-ran-4-vinylpyridine-ran-propylene glycol methacrylate) with a poly(4-vinylpyridine)-block-poly(C1-15 alkyl methacrylate) or poly(4-vinylpyridine-ran-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate).
