Abstract:
Provided is an excellent protective layer transfer sheet that allows lustrous toned printed matter or matted printed matter to be acquired by use of the same protective layer transfer sheet and allows printed matter having excellent image quality, foil cutting property, and plasticizer resistance performance to be acquired. A protective layer transfer sheet (1) is provided with a heat-resistant lubricant layer (3) on one surface of a substrate (2) and has a thermally transferrable protective layer 6 on at least a part of the other surface of the substrate (2). The thermally transferrable protective layer (6) is composed of a peeling layer (4) and an adhesive layer (5). The peeling layer (4) contains: a cellulose acetate propionate resin having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 140-150°C and a number average molecular weight (Mn) of not greater than 30,000; and a polyester resin having a number average molecular weight of not smaller than 15,000.
