Background Art

Currently, when clothing has been soiled, the procedure of washing (both dry cleaning and regular machine washing) sometimes ruins the clothing or fails in removing the stains. One example is white t-shirts which over tune develop yellow stains under the sleeves from perspiration. The stains are close to impossible to remove and the garment is ruined. To the inventors' knowledge there is not a product on the market for stain prevention to be used in these circumstances.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention is a thin fabric-like piece of absorbing material to be put on clothes in areas prone to staining. The invention would be put, for example, on the inside (the seamy side) under the sleeve on a t-shirt or on the inside of a hat. The device would absorb perspiration or make-up in problem areas. This would prevent the soil of reaching the actual clothing. At the end of the usage period the device would be removed from the clothing along with the soil. This enhances the life expectancy of the piece of clothing in question; Instead of throwing out an entire garment due to color disfiguration from perspiration or make-up, only this invention is disposed of and the clothing is still intact. An esthetical benefit is also present, the user will not have embarrassing damp perspiration marks or make-up stains on the clothing when using this product.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

The invention should be added, with the help of gentle adhesive already on the invention, to the clothing in question before use. For example, if a hat is worn the device would be put on the inside of the hat to protect the hat from being soiled by make-up or perspiration prior to wearing. On garments worn on the upper body, the device should be put under the sleeves on the inside (seamy side) prior to wearing to protect the garment from perspiration. At the end of the usage period the device should be removed from the clothing along with any soil. This reduces the probability of perspiration stains on the garment.

Industrial Applicability

This is an affordable product which can be used everyday by both men and women. The user will save both time and money by not having to dry clean or machine wash their clothes as often as before. This new product also fills an esthetical need, the person using it will not experience embarrassing damp perspiration marks or smeared make-up stains on their clothing.
