Abstract:
Disclosed is a protective sleeve for a motor component, in which multifilament yarns comprising synthetic fibre are combined into a cylindrical braid of 24 or more strands, the multifilament yarns have a single-yarn fineness of 15 dtex or more but less than 30 dtex, and the yarn total fineness of a single braid unit of the braid is in the range of 800 to 1500 dtex. This protective sleeve has excellent covering properties and few gaps. As a result, a protective sleeve for a motor component is provided in which partial discharge characteristics (electrical insulation performance) are high and electrical insulation properties are good even when a step for washing away a raw yarn oil solution applied to filaments is omitted.
