Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a protein purification method which can reduce impurities significantly compared with conventional protein purification methods using activated carbon and can achieve a high collection rate. The present invention relates to a protein purification method using activated carbon, said method comprising bringing an activated carbon pretreatment solution prepared by adjusting the electrical conductivity of an aqueous solution conaining a protein into contact with activated carbon to separate the protein from impurities in a non-adsorbed mode, thereby producing the desired protein reduced in the content of the impurities.
