Abstract:
Provided are a proton-conducting structure which shows good proton conductivity in a temperature range of 100°C or higher, and a method for manufacturing said structure. After pyrophosphoric acid containing Sn, Zr, Ti, or Si and a phosphoric acid are mixed, the mixture is kept at a temperature of from 80‑150°C, and is then kept at 200‑400°C in order to manufacture the proton-conducting structure. The proton-conducting structure comprises a core made of tin pyrophosphate and a coating layer which is formed on the surface of said core and contains Sn and O, wherein the coordination number of the O with respect to the Sn is 6 or greater.
