Abstract:
Disclosed is a protrusion forming member whereby process man-hours are reduced, production efficiency can be improved, and a large height difference can be easily formed in the protruding portion formed on a board material. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing the protrusion forming member. A circular board section (22) positioned inside of an annular opening (45) formed on the board material, and a flange section (24) positioned outside of the annular opening (45), said sections being demarcated by the opening (45), and a plurality of arm sections (23), each of which has a length longer than the opening width (L) of the annular opening (45) and connects together the circular board section (22) and the flange section (24), are formed by punching out the board material, and the circular board section (22) is pressed in the direction perpendicular to the flange section (24), thereby forming a predetermined gap between the circular board section (22) and the flange section (24).
