Abstract:

A method for providing the resource expiry information includes that: the media gateway receives a command request from the media gateway controller, the command request carries an indication for requesting to acquire the resource expiry information; the media gateway sends the resource expiry information to the media gateway controller in the response command for the command request. Also, an acquisition method for acquiring the resource expiry information, a system media gateway and a media gateway controller are provided, by using the embodiments of the present invention, the media gateway controller may acquires the expiry information of the media resource which is allocated or adjusted for providing media service by the media gateway, and further inform the middle network entities and the user terminals associated with the media transfer, thereby to facilitate them to determine and discard the media description information and the media stream which are old or invalid, and also facilitate them to determine the expiry information of the specific media resource or the resource corresponding to the specific expiry information.
