Abstract:
The present invention provides a proximity sensor with high level sealing properties. The proximity sensor comprises: a cylindrical housing 10 for which an opening 11 is formed at one end; an electronic component housed in the housing 10; a cylindrical clamp 20 for which one end is inserted inside the housing 10 from the opening 11; a cable 35 that is inserted inside the clamp 20 from the other end of the clamp 20 and is connected to the electronic component; a sealing ring 38 provided to surround the cable 35 and seal the gap between the clamp 20 and the cable 35; and a resin 51 provided inside the clamp 20, wherein the sealing ring 38 has a rib part 60 protruding to abut an inner wall 20a of the clamp 20, and a plurality of the rib parts 60 is formed aligned in the direction along the center axis of the sealing ring 38.
