Abstract:
Provided is a pseudo-sound generating device such that even if an electric movable body is at a stop, a pedestrian can notice the presence of the electric movable body, thereby being able to take autonomous danger avoidance action. This pseudo-sound generating device (2) controls the pseudo-sound that is radiated outside by a sound generating body (4) which an electric movable body (1) comprises, said electric movable body (1) being such that at least part of the driving force thereof is generated by an electric motor. The pseudo-sound generating device (2) is provided with a pseudo-sound generating unit (5) and a speed region determining unit (6) which determines the speed range of the electric movable body (1). When the speed region determining unit (6) determines that the electric movable body (1) is in a state where it is possible to energize the electric motor thereof and that the vehicle is at a stop, the pseudo-sound generating unit (5) performs control in such a way that the sound generating body (4) radiates a pseudo-sound. Furthermore, the pseudo-sound generating unit (5) detects that the electric movable body (1) has approached a travel start mode, and said unit (5) adjusts the pseudo-sound radiated by the sound generating body (4).
