Abstract:
A pseudo speckle pattern generation device 1A comprising a light source 11, a beam expander 12, and a spatial light modulator 13. The spatial light modulator 13: has an intensity modulated distribution on the basis of a pseudo speckle pattern calculated from a pseudo random number pattern and a correlation function; inputs light output from the light source 11 and having the beam diameter thereof expanded by the beam expander 12; spatially modulates the input light in accordance with the modulated distribution; and outputs the modulated light. As a result, a pseudo speckle pattern generation device, etc., is provided that has a high degree of freedom of spatial structure for the generated speckle pattern or light intensity statistical distribution settings.
