The main frame 10 should include an on/off switch for the light box.

Although a limited number of embodiments are described, the present invention may be realized in other forms and methods as well. Therefore, the Patent Application concept and scope included in this document is not limited to the application to the examples described above.

According to Fig. 4, the fourth embodiment shows the handset 11 located on the left portion of the man frame 10, the telephone part 12 consisting of a coin or card insertion amount indicator, coin return slot, and key buttons integrated and lined up on the left portion of the main frame, allowing the rest of the area available to be used as a box of keeping 19. This box of keeping 19 can arrange prints like leaflets or informative papers. The box of keeping 19 can be attached on the telephone by a screw or a rivet and can be made one body with telephone. This may be done with current technologies of the respective field.

Figs. 5a and 5b are concerning about establishment of LCD on the displaying part of the first, second, third embodiments. Fig. 5a shows the outer construction, establishment of a LCD 21 display play part and a picture reproducing part 23.

VTR/LD/LDP is used for the picture reproducing part 23.

Fig. 5b is a block diagram and is composed of the picture reproducing part 31 to reproduce advertising film with VTR/LD/CD, a memory part 33 which is remembered film in advance to work during the period of fixing when it is in the state of hindrance or rewinding, a LCD 39 which indicate selectively a signal reproducing from the picture reproducing part 31 or a signal from a memory part 33, a sensor 35 which senses a reproducing of VTR/LD to the end, a converting switch 39 which provides an output signal of the picture reproducing part 31 or an output signal of the memory part 33 with LCD 39 selectively.

The picture reproducing part 31 is a general VTR or LDP. But, it is desirable that exclusive unnecessary functions (for example, recording, caption, fast forward, etc) to cut down cost. And it is desirable that picture reproducing part 31 and the operational part therein is internal, don't let common people to use. lt is desirable that the operational part includes an on/off switch of LCD 39, because it is attached a displaying panel on the LCD that is in off. The Memory part 33 is for outputting an advertising only when the picture reproducing part 31 doesn't be played.

This can be remembered by the semiconductor of playing memory or the second picture reproducing part. The sensor 35 serves to let to work the memory part 33 when it is rewinding Video Tape/Laser Disk, a disk driver 53 which can send a message in the diskette.

The converting switch 37 provides selectively an output signal of the picture reproducing part 31 or an output signal of the memory part 33 to LCD 39 in accordance to the signal of the sensor 35. It is preferable that a relay is used for turning on or turning off according to the output signal of the sensor 35.

Figs. 6a and 6b show a public telephone of a sixth embodiment. According to Figs 6a and 6b the public telephone may be connected to the internet and several kinds of networks because a computer for communicating is in the telephone.

Fig. 6a is an outer view of the public telephone. A LCD board 25, a key board 26, a function selecting switch 28 and a disk driver are disposed on the place where the display area is disposed in the first, the second and the third embodiments.

The public telephone according to the sixth embodiment includes a telephone part 45 and a computer communication part 46 for communicating by the computer.

Furthermore, the public telephone includes a function selecting part 41, a converting part 43 for selecting the telephone part 45 or the computer communication part 46.

The computer communication part 46 is similar to the general computer in its construction.

As shown in Fig. 6b, the computer communicaton part 46 includes a computer part 47, a key board 49 for inputting a letter, a LCD 51 for displaying the output signal from the computer part 47 and a disk driver 53 for transmitting the information stored in the diskette.

The function selecting part 41 can use a voice transmitting system what function you choose automatically when pick the handset up can use LCD 51 what function you choose. This can fulfill using by program in computer 47, this may be done with current technologies of the respective field. User choose a function with converting part 43 according to the message from the fuction selecting part 41. The converting part 43 is used by the switch of the function selecting part 28 on Fig. 6a.

It is desirable that relay is used because it can control the telephone part 45 and the computer communication part 40 to a low voltage. It is effective that SSR be used rather than PCR because it can be reduced a surge. It is desirable that part of computer communication 47 have compositions of computer communication, but it is programed of calculating fare and message which alarm the pass time corresponding

inserted coin. The present invention shows a disk driver 53 which send a file using the public phone. The disk driver 53 can upload or down load a file when the user insert a diskette to a disk driver.

It is desirable that keyboard 49 dispense when it is selected function of computer communication it is internal at usual time. The keyboard locking system can be released by the signal of emission in the converting part 43, or can be used by the people who pull a keyboard like a drawer. The keyboard locking system can be worked by the solenoid or clutch that is worked by an electric signal automatically, this may be done with current technologies of the respective field.

Although the present invention is described with a few operational example, but another kind of way can be worked. For example, It can be composed of computer communication and advertising, indicate an advertising film on the LCD at usual time.

Computer communication on the LCD when it is selected for computer communication.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY As the foregoing description, a public telephone of the present invention with its display features in addition to current telephone features will increase the space utilization efficiency of the public telephone. In other words, through the installation of the public telephone of the present invention in public areas a more effective means of public announcement and information may be offered, while installation in private companies and recreational facilities will offer a more effective means for company advertisements and promotional ads to be displayed.
