Abstract:
Disclosed is a pulley unit constituted to control decreased durability in bearings that rotatably and relatively support a pulley and pulley hub. A pulley hub (3) is rotatably supported by a bearing (4), which is assembled on the inside of a pulley (1), a flange (7) and stop ring (8) are disposed on the outer circumferential surface of this pulley hub (3), and a stationary cam disc (9), which is fitted around the pulley hub (3) between the flange (7) and stop ring (8), and a moving cam disc (10) are assembled. A torque cam (14) is disposed between the facing surfaces of the stationary cam disc (9) and moving cam disc (10). A multiple disc friction clutch (20), which bonds the moving cam disc (10) and pulley hub (3) together, and an elastic member (30), which forces that multiple disc friction clutch (20) toward the moving cam disc (10), are assembled between the moving cam disc (10) and flange (7), so that counterforce to the axial force loaded on the moving cam disc (10) by the compression of the elastic member (30) and the action of the torque cam (14) is born by the flange (7) and a washer (11).
