Abstract:
A pulley width adjusting device for a continuously variable transmission, comprising a ball screw mechanism (15) for axially operating a movable pulley disk (2) having a screw tube (16) and a nut member (17), wherein a stopper pin (33) is inserted into the screw tube (16) from one end face (16a) of the peripheral wall thereof to the other end face (16b), one end part (33a) of the stopper pin (33) is engaged with the cutout part (13) of a transmission case (6) to stop the rotation of the screw tube (16), a stopper projection (31) is provided on the nut member (17), the other end (33b) of the stopper pin (33) is allowed to abut on the stopper projection (31) to limit the rotating range of the nut member (17), and the stopper projection (31) and the stopper pin (33) function as an excessive tightening prevention means for preventing the ball screw mechanism (15) from being excessively tightened.
