Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a pulp container formed from a thick paper material made of pulp, such that if fish, etc., is placed in the pulp container and blood adheres to the outer surface thereof, the blood can be easily cleaned by rinsing the pulp container with water.
A thick paper material is formed from pulp, the thick paper material is coated with a thermoplastic resin having a heat-sealing ability on both front and rear surfaces thereof, and either cut portions for forming side surface pieces are formed at the four corners of the thick paper material, or folding pieces for connecting adjacent side surface pieces are formed. The thick paper material thus obtained is supported by a support member such that the support member abuts a rear surface of one of the opposing side surface pieces, and is subjected to hot pressing by a pair of pressing dies so as to outwardly bend a peripheral portion of the container opening and to bend and thermally adhere an end portion of the peripheral portion to the lower side of the container. A recessed die is heated to a temperature less than or equal to the softening temperature of the thermoplastic resin, hot air is jetted toward the four end portion corners defining the container, and the recessed die is cooled to maintain the temperature less than or equal to the softening temperature of the thermoplastic resin, thereby manufacturing a pulp container, both sides whereof are coated.
