Abstract:
A frame storage unit (20) stores a predetermined number of frames of captured images of a region including the skin of a user. A pixel value acquisition unit (30) specifies a plurality of areas in the captured images and acquires a pixel value for each area. A pulse detection unit (60) detects the pulse from a change over time in the pixel value of each area. A reliability calculation unit (80) determines the reliability of the pulse detected from each area. The pulse detection unit (60) selects and outputs the most reliable pulse as a final pulse among the pulses detected from the areas, or refers to the reliabilities and determines a final pulse by weighting and combining pulses having a reliability that equals or exceeds a threshold value among the pulses detected from the areas.
