Abstract:
Provided is a pulse wave detector that is capable of improving the accuracy of detecting a pressure pulse wave. A biological information measuring device (100) is provided with: a pressure pulse wave detection part (10) that presses a pressing surface (10a), upon which a pressure detecting element is formed, against the radial artery (TD) under the skin of a wrist (H) of a person being monitored, and detects the pressure pulse wave from the radial artery (TD); and a case (20) that accommodates the pressure pulse wave detection part (10) in a state in which the pressing surface (10a) is exposed to the wrist (H). The case (20) is constructed so that the compression pressure on the radial artery (TD) due to the case (20) when the measuring device is worn on the wrist (H) becomes smaller than the compression pressure on the radial artery (TD) due to the pressing surface (10a) when the measuring device is worn on the wrist.
