Abstract:
This pulse wave measurement device is provided with: a belt (20) that is wound onto a site on a subject where measurement is performed; first and second pulse wave sensors (40-1, 40-2) that are mounted apart from each other in the width direction on the belt (20) and detect pulse waves of an artery passing through the site where measurement is performed at portions facing the sensors; pressing units (21b, 21c) capable of pressing the first and second pulse wave sensors (40-1, 40-2) against the site where measurement is performed with a variable pressing force; a waveform comparison unit that acquires first and second pulse wave signals (PS1, PS2) output chronologically from the first and second pulse wave sensors (40-1, 40-2) and compares the waveforms of the first and second pulse wave signals (PS1, PS2); and a pulse wave sensor pressing force setting unit that varies and sets the pressing forces applied by the respective pressing units (21b, 21c) so that the waveforms of the first and second pulse wave signals (PS1, PS2) compared by the waveform comparison unit coincide with each other.
