Abstract:

In the present invention, a hydrophilic polymer comprising a water-in-oil emulsion in the form of a liquid is aggregated by emulsion-breaking and the aggregate is pelletized and dried to provide a pulverulent hydrophilic polymer. As the emulsion breaker, it is possible to use an ionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant having an HLB value of 11 to 20, or an oil-soluble polymer compound having a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group. The pulverulent hydrophilic polymer obtained by this method exhibits excellent effects as a flocculation treatment agent.
