Abstract:
This pump is provided with a pump flow passage through which a fluid flows, and a plurality of electrodes and a plurality of dielectrics which are disposed in the pump flow passage and each of which allows the fluid to pass in the flow direction of the fluid. The plurality of electrodes and the plurality of dielectrics are stacked alternately in contact with one another in the flow direction, in such a way that one of the plurality of dielectrics is positioned between adjacent electrodes among the plurality of electrodes. Further, the plurality of electrodes have mutually different polarities between adjacent electrodes, and the plurality of dielectrics include first dielectrics disposed in odd numbered positions, counting from the most upstream side in the flow direction, and second dielectrics disposed in even numbered positions, counting from the most upstream side in the flow direction. The first dielectrics and the second dielectrics are formed respectively using materials of which the zeta potentials in the flow direction have mutually opposite signs.
