A pump device for a washing machine, which is placed in the water in an external water source and feeds water into the washing machine, and is configured so as to be provided with a main pump body enabling intaking and discharging of the water in the water source and a filter device having a water filtering function. The filter device is configured so as to be equipped with: a hollow container-shaped filter case, one end of which is connected to the water intake side of the main pump body and the other end of which has an inlet port; a cylindrical core member provided inward of the filter case and having a plurality of water holes in the peripheral wall; a filtering medium for filtering impurities contained in the water, the filtering medium being mounted on the side surface of the peripheral wall of the core member; and an antimicrobial agent, which is accommodated on the inside of the core member and which is gradually soluble in water.
