Abstract:
One embodiment of this pump device comprises: a shaft; a motor unit that rotates the shaft in both directions; and a pump unit. The pump unit has: a pump gear; a pump body having a through-hole having an opening on one side in the axial direction that opens to a pump chamber; an annular seal member positioned in the through-hole and sealing between the pump chamber and the motor unit; a first port and a second port that are connected to the pump chamber and are capable of sucking oil into the pump chamber and discharging oil from the pump chamber; a first oil passage that connects the first port and a section in the through-hole between the seal member and the pump chamber; a second oil passage that connects the second port and a section in the through-hole between the seal member and the pump chamber; a first non-return valve positioned in the first oil passage; and a second non-return valve positioned in the second oil passage. The first non-return valve and the second non-return valve permit oil flow from the seal member side to the port side and prevent oil flow from the port side to the seal member side.
