Abstract:
A pump unit provided on a conduit that transports a liquid at a preset unit flow volume, wherein the pump unit is equipped with n+1 pumps and constant flow valves. The pumps are arranged such that n+1 pumps are arranged in series and are set such that the aforementioned unit flow volume can be achieved by arranging n pumps in series and pressurizing the liquid by means of the individual pumps. The constant flow valves are arranged downstream from the n+1 pumps and apply a first resistance to the liquid when the liquid is pressurized by n of the n+1 pumps, thereby transporting the liquid at the aforementioned unit flow volume. Furthermore, when the liquid is pressurized by the n+1 pumps, the constant flow valves apply to the liquid a second resistance that is greater than the first resistance, thereby transporting the liquid at the aforementioned unit flow volume.
