Abstract:
A pump having secure operating stability and enabling a reduction in size. The pump comprises a piston formed of a bar-like magnet having magnetic poles at both ends, a cylinder in which the piston is installed, a coil installed on the outer periphery of the cylinder parallel with the piston, and an energization control part generating a variable magnetic field by passing an ac current to the coil to drivingly advance and retreat the piston. Each of a supply pipe for supplying a fluid and a return pipe for returning the fluid forced out from the cylinder is communicably connected to the cylinder through a one-way valve to supply the fluid from the pump to the cylinder. One end of the piston is disposed in an area between the both ends of the coil and the other end of the piston is disposed on the outside of the area.
