Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a pump that is capable of preventing increase in the size of a reciprocating pumping member in the reciprocating direction. [Solution] This pump 1 has a casing 10 for housing a piston 22 and a drive part 24. The casing 10 has: a first casing member 14 that has a drive-part holding part 20 for holding the drive part 24; a second casing member 16 that is attached to the first casing member 14 so as to be overlapped therewith in the reciprocating direction of the piston 22; and a cylindrical pump chamber peripheral wall member 46 that is disposed around a head 44 of the piston 22. The second casing member 16 has an end wall 36 that spreads in the transverse direction roughly orthogonal to the reciprocating direction. A pump chamber 50, a discharge chamber 52, and a buffer chamber 32 are defined between the first casing member 14 and the end wall 36 of the second casing member 16. The pump chamber 50, the discharge chamber 52, and the buffer chamber 32 are arranged side by side in the transverse direction.
