Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to adjust electric power supply flexibly while suppressing a decrease in electric power efficiency during pumping. This pumped-storage power generation control system comprises an electric power control unit which controls a pumped-storage power generation facility including a plurality of pumping units for performing a pumping operation and an electric power generation unit for performing an electric power generation operation, and which, by controlling the operations of the pumping units and the electric power generation unit, controls a total value P of an amount of power consumption by the pumping operation and an amount of power generation by the electric power generation operation. The electric power control unit, when allowing the total value P to vary within a predetermined range set in advance, causes the pumping operation to be performed in a rated operation in which the opening of a valve for pumping by the pumping units is set to a predetermined opening, and causes the electric power generation operation to be performed while varying the opening of a valve for releasing water by the electric power generation unit, thereby performing a pumping rated control for varying the amount of power generation. The electric power control unit, when allowing the total value P to be varied beyond the predetermined range, causes the pumping units to start or stop activation, thereby performing a pumping unit number control for varying the amount of power consumption.
