Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pumping device for a vehicle seat, including an output unit for transmitting an input torque to a link means of a seat cushion, a brake unit for restraining the operation of the output unit against a reversely input torque from the link means, and a housing for containing the brake unit, wherein the brake unit includes a brake wedge connected to rotate integrally with the output unit, a roller interposed between the peripheral surface of the brake wedge and the inside surface of the housing, and a resilient member for providing a resilient force to the roller in one direction, the resilient member being able to generate the resilient force as the volume of the resilient member is reduced under the pressure of the moving roller.
