Abstract:
A pumping unit that is used to produce hydrocarbon from subsurface formation is provided. The pumping unit is provided with one or more travelling pulley(es) and/or block to save strength, and steel rope winds the travelling block (s). One end of the rope is fastened to a fixed body, and the other is attached to a bull wheel that is driven by pumping unit's motor. The pumping unit not only can save strength and increase efficiency, but also can reduce the cost.
