Abstract:
The invention relates to a punch like any traditional punch used in stamping and cutting processes in companies involved in construction, automotive engineering, the production of household appliances and die-stamping in general. The punch comprises a stamp-cutting tip, with any suitable configuration, characterised in that said tip has a reduced thickness such that, in the area immediately therebehind, the cross-section of the punch decreases gradually up to a point marking a distance equal to or greater than the depth to which the punch penetrates the material to be stamped. In addition, the punch can include an anti-wear cover. This structure prevents breakdowns and interruptions in production, as well as unnecessary friction, wear and excessive temperatures, with the useful life of the punch being extended considerably.
