Abstract:
Disclosed are a puncture resistant tube for a bicycle tire and a foam mold for manufacture of the puncture resistant tube for a bicycle tire. The disclosed puncture resistant tube for a bicycle tire is inserted into the bicycle tire so as to be fitted to a rim of a bicycle wheel, and comprising: a tube body inserted along the tube insertion hole formed in the bicycle tire; and an elasticity providing hole recessed into a predetermined depth in the portion of the bicycle tire to which the rim is coupled in the tube body. When the portion of the bicycle tire to be fitted to the rim is retracted by external force such that the bicycle tire is fitted to the rim at the state in which the tube body is inserted into the tube insertion hole, the elasticity providing hole is contracted to enable elastic force to be accumulated in the portion around the elasticity providing hole in the tube body. When the bicycle tire is coupled to the rim, the elasticity providing hole is recovered to the original shape thereof by the elastic force accumulated in the portion around the elasticity providing hole in the tube body, and thus, the portion of the bicycle tire fitted to the rim also can be recovered to the original shape thereof. According to the disclosed puncture resistant tube for a bicycle tire and a foam mold for manufacture of the puncture resistant tube for a bicycle tire, the elasticity providing hole is formed in the tube body and the shape, the size or the like of the elasticity providing hole can be adjusted, thus enabling tire balancing for the bicycle tire in which the puncture resistant tube for a bicycle tire is mounted so as to be conveniently performed, and achieving elasticity combination optimized for each of the front wheel and the rear wheel of the bicycle. The bicycle tire in which the puncture resistant tube for a bicycle tire is inserted can be conveniently fitted to the rim, thus enabling the bicycle tire to be easily attached/detached to/from the rim. The weight of the bicycle tire is reduced by the size of the elasticity providing hole, thus making the bicycle tire lightweight.
