Abstract:
The present invention provides a purification method for a liquid to be processed, said method reducing the content of metal impurities in a liquid to be processed containing tetraalkylammonium ions, while being capable of suppressing the occurrence of a crack in a resin even in cases where a strongly acidic cation exchange resin is used. A purification method for a liquid to be processed, said method being characterized by comprising an impurity removal step wherein a liquid to be processed containing tetraalkylammonium ions and metal impurities is passed through a container that is filled with a hydrogen ion-type or tetraalkylammonium ion-type cation exchange resin, thereby reducing the content of the metal impurities in the liquid to be processed, while being also characterized in that the degree of crosslinking of the cation exchange resin is from 16% to 24%.
