The present invention provides a push-button switch manufacturing method, wherein a key-top side end part of a plunger (25) is inserted into a lower mold cavity part for the plunger; a reinforcement plate (28) is placed in the lower mold such that the plunger (25) passes through a through hole in the plate; the other end part of the plunger (25) is inserted in an upper side depression part for the plunger that is disposed in the lower face of an upper mold, and the upper mold and the lower mold are mutually brought together; liquid silicone rubber (27) is injected into the cavity, said liquid silicone rubber (27) including a component that adheres to the plunger (25) without adhering to the upper mold and the lower mold; the mold is opened after being compressed and retained at a prescribed temperature and a prescribed time, and the molded object, the middle part in the axial direction of the plunger (25) being supported by the silicone rubber (27) within the through hole in the plate, is extracted; and the rear face of the key top (26) is attached to the key top end part of the plunger (25) in the molded object. The plunger and the reinforcement plate are thus easily and reliably integrally molded with an elastic member, and the resilience of the push-button switch is improved.
