Abstract:
A quake-resistant reinforcement metallic member that can be easily attached to a joint in a foundation, exterior wall, etc. and prevents breakage or collapse of a house even under strong shock/vibration such as earthquake. A quake-resistant reinforcement metallic member (1) is constructed from a first fixing piece (2) fixed to one structure portion of a house, a second fixing piece (3) fixed to the other structure portion of the house, and a connection piece (4) swingably connecting the first fixing piece (2) and the second fixing piece (3) through a connection shaft (5). At least either the first fixing piece (2) or the second fixing piece (3) has bend portions (8, 9) with shock absorbing/relieving effect.
