Abstract:

A quality evaluation method has an acquisition step for acquiring light intensity distribution information, which is information about the distribution of the absorbance by a cell aggregation of measurement light including near-infrared light that has been irradiated onto the cell aggregation, by irradiating the measurement light onto the cell aggregation and an evaluation step for evaluating the quality of the cell aggregation on the basis of the light intensity distribution information. A quality evaluation device has a light source for irradiating measurement light including near-infrared light onto a cell aggregation, a light reception unit for acquiring light intensity distribution information including information about the distribution of the absorbance of the measurement light by the cell aggregation by receiving transmitted light or diffusely reflected light emitted from the cell aggregation as a result of the irradiation of the measurement light, and an analysis unit for evaluating the quality of the cell aggregation on the basis of the light intensity distribution information.
