It is possible to provide a quality index value calculation method, an information processing device, a dynamic image distribution system, and a quality index value calculation program which can calculate a quality index value indicating almost the same quality as the dynamic image data quality judged by a human. The method calculates a quality index value S' such as block distortion and edge clearness of respective frames constituting dynamic image data, an error region ratio Q as a ratio of the error region where a packet error or the like has occurred, and a pixel difference degree N as a difference degree from the color originally used in the dynamic image data. A quality index value S is calculated according to the calculated quality index value S', the error region ratio Q, and the pixel difference degree N. Thus, it is possible to realize calculation of the quality index value indicating almost the same quality as the dynamic image data quality judged by a human.
