Disclosed in embodiments of the present invention are a quality parameter acquisition method, a terminal, a network side device, and a system. The method comprises: a network side device sending a first request message to a terminal, wherein the first request message is used to request a quality parameter related to user experience of a preset service; and the terminal sending the quality parameter to the network side device upon receiving the first request message. By acquiring a quality parameter related to user experience of a preset service from a terminal device, a network side device can evaluate network operational quality using the quality parameter so as to facilitate network optimization, thereby enhancing network quality for the terminal, and improving user experience.
