Abstract:
A quantitative characterization method for a surface structure of an involute gear subjected to powerful gear honing finishing. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring a discrete point group; establishing a mathematical model of a gear surface structure; calculating the distribution of included angles between machining mark directions and tooth profile directions; and establishing a gear tooth surface roughness distribution model. By means of the quantitative characterization method for a surface structure of an involute gear subjected to powerful gear honing finishing, a gear tooth surface structure and the roughness of a machined gear can be predicted when the parameters of the machined gear, parameters of a honing tool and parameters of a powerful gear honing process are known, such that quantitative characterization of the gear tooth surface structure subjected to honing machining is realized, and a theoretical basis is provided for improving the gear service performance and optimizing the parameters of a gear machining process.
