Abstract:
A quantum sensor using a rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1), used for magnetic field sensing and electric field sensing, and a sensing method. The quantum sensor comprises: a rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1); a low temperature providing unit (2) providing a low temperature working environment to the rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1); a constant magnetic field generating unit (3) applying a constant magnetic field to the rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1); an optical field generating unit (4) providing an optical field for performing optical pumping on the rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1) in order to cause rare earth ions to be in an initial state of spinning, and providing an optical field for exciting a Raman scattered optical field of the rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1); a pulsed magnetic field generating unit (5) applying, to the rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1), a pulsed magnetic field perpendicular to the constant magnetic field to cause the rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1) to generate a spin echo; and a heterodyne Raman scattered light field detecting and analysis unit (6) detecting and analyzing a Raman scattered light field radiated from the rare earth ion doped optical crystal (1).
